On May 28th, 2020, the law firm Ménard, Martin, Avocats filed an Application for authorization to institute a class action and to obtain the status of representative against Vigi santé Ltée: Authorization to institute a class action
This class action concerns the following Group:
“Every person who resided at CHSLD Vigi Mont-Royal at any time since March 13th, 2020, as well as their spouse, their family caregiver(s), their children and grandchildren, their heirs and successors.”
The court is asked to appoint Ms. Evangelina Morfonios as the group’s representative.
Please note that this class action only concerns CHSLD Vigi Mont-Royal.
Also, note that anyone who meets the Group’s criteria is automatically part of the class action. No particular procedure is to be undertaken at this stage, except to provide us with your contact details.
On December 15th, 2020, following the defendant’s application for authorization to submit relevant evidence, Justice Donald Bisson of the Superior Court partially granted Vigi Santé Ltée’s request: Judgment of December 15, 2020
On May 3rd, 2021, the Application for authorization to institute a class action and to obtain the status of representative will be heard before Justice Donald Bisson of the Superior Court.
